ORBS

One of the most widely misunderstood and debated topics of paranormal investigations are Orbs.  On every ghost hunting site you see, you will most likely see pictures or information about Orbs.  But that is good, because discussion encourages continued investigation.

What an incredible image in this orb!!! The puppy face of the spaniel this family formerly owned.

On nearly every investigation, regardless of weather, you will see Orbs of some kind.  Inside or outside, day or night, Orbs will be in the photos taken.  And this is where the debate (or fun) begins.  Is an Orb a ghost?  A spirit?  Is it just dust, or moisture, or a camera glitch?  Was the camera lens dirty, or did it have a spot on it?  Was there a stray glare of light?

There is validity on both sides of the Orb debate.  This means that there are some Orbs that are legitimate ghostly energy, and many Orbs that will not be paranormal in nature.  Having said this, I will say that to a trained investigator, most Orbs can be immediately categorized as paranormal or non paranormal.  Even then, orbs that seem paranormal will have to be put under intense scrutiny to establish validity.  What is the distance of the Orb in relation to its size?  It is focused in relation to the object it is closest to?  it is partially obscured by an in focus object, such as a tree, or a chair, a wall or a door?  Does it appear to have an inner design, or appearance?   Just always more questions with Orbs than any other part of an investigation.

Here are some pictures of Orbs that you can decide for yourself their legitimacy.  I shall tell you where they were taken, and the situations, and then form your opinion.

There is also a lot of talk about the color of Orbs.  This a chart that describes what each orb color is supposed to mean, or signify.  In our experience,

we seem to get more blue, red, and brown Orbs.  I shall show you some different colored Orbs momentarily, however, We don't seem to get colored Orbs very often.  Regarding this chart, I can verify that the blue Orbs we have captured have seemed to coincide with the chart meanings.  The latest brown Orb we captured was near a newly sunken grave, and it hovered over the grave.  So with brown meaning something  of the Earth, this also coincided with the chart.  The gold Orb we captured seemed to stay above our heads, and appeared in three photos.

Overall, most of our Orbs have shown up as red, or dark red, and in most of these locations, there was previous death.  In some of the locations, including battlefields, we have had numerous red Orbs in photos.  Please realize though, that there is no specific place that will give you consistently colored Orbs, or same color Orbs every time.

As you see here, Orbs are going to be in your photographs in all shapes and sizes, and in all colors and masses.  I will not speak on the Orbs I see on other sites, as I am one who needs to be at the place an Orb is captured to account for the feel of the place, and the conditions.  I will give credit to everyone for the photos they take, until I am proven wrong in that trust.

Please understand Orbs are the easiest way for a spirit to manifest.  It takes less energy to form an Orb than it does to form a shadow figure, or a spirit mist, or ectoplasm.  If we find an Orb in a place where there has been other paranormal activity, we have to take into account the conditions, and the other spirit energy that we find on our equipment.  Remember we are there to verify if a place is haunted beyond reasonable doubt, and Orbs will NOT provide that proof.

Use Orbs as an indicator of random spirit energy.  Try to follow them if possible to a certain place, as they at times will provide a clue to more paranormal evidence.  When you see an Orb in a photograph, try to get it, or them, on video also.  Verify, Verify, Verify.  An Orb that does not take the normal path of falling dust or particles, may be a cause to take additional readings.  When you see an Orb with purpose, you will know it.  They may have a dedicated pattern of movement, or specific desire to communicate.  They may follow an investigator, and then disappear completely.  They may linger along an arm, or face, or body.  Ghosts and spirits want to know about us, as much as we want to know about them.  They could fly toward a person, and seem to disappear into them.  Video Orbs are so much more important than photographic Orbs.  You are capturing ghost movement,  and you want to have this absolutely authentic and verified.
